18 Affirmations To Go With The Flow

For anyone who’s asked, “What’s my purpose?”

Moment of transparency — I’ve experienced confusion about what my purpose should be.

In the perfect world, I’d like to wake up one day with a handwritten note from Jesus himself with directions confirming my every move. But in the real world, I have to feel my way through. I have to be attentive to his Spirit and be willing to move when he says move.

For all the control freaks and planners, experiencing life on a “whim” is the opposite of how you like to live, but the fruit is so sweet when we move in faith.

Being flexible to flowing in the Spirit — or moving in faith — has some great benefits:

  • It exposes us to opportunities we may not have thought of
  • It opens us to new opportunities and people
  • We learn about ourselves along the way
  • We grow closer to God

As I continue on this journey confirming the exact space I’m designed to fill, I have to remind myself that finding my purpose isn’t the beginning of life. While purpose is an optimum state of being, there’s still enjoyment available until I get There, wherever There may be.

So, in the spirit of flow, this week’s affirmations are about loosing the reins of what’s “supposed” to be so that we can enjoy the moment.
